Pentagon Renovation Program

Project Details:

We served as the Commissioning Agent and technical writer for the multi-year renovation of the Pentagon for Wedges 2 through 5 and ancillary projects. The Pentagon needed critical updates, so I was employed to help complete the overhaul designed to align with the latest technology as well as increase security and life safety measures after 9/11. We moved meticulously one wedge at a time while the rest of the Pentagon was in operation. I provided the commissioning and construction management support to oversee the projects. One of the things I’m most proud of is overseeing commissioning on a temporary power plant at one of the Pentagon’s ancillary secured facilities to ensure the success of our project as well as those happening around us.

Challenges We Overcame:

The construction did not match the as-built and getting the documentation together. Therefore, I worked with the various teams to help close out and turnover all the systems to the owner.
